Activision Goes Old School With Their “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron” Preorder Bonuses

Classic Optimus Prime comes to those who put down their preorder monies for High Moon Studios’ upcoming Transformers title.

Look, can we all just agree (or continue agreeing) that paying money in advance to reserve a game that will likely not be out of stock is a weird practice? Having said that, being able to play Transformers: Fall of Cybertron as the G1 version of Optimus Prime does sound kinda nice.

That’s the deal with Gamestop’s G1 Retro pack for those of you who decide to pick the game up from that particular retailer online or in stores. This pack gives you OG Optimus for both the single-player campaign and multiplayer, along with a G1 Megatron-inspired gun and Shockwave Blast Cannon.

If you’re into a look that’s a tad more recent, a preorder from Amazon will net you a G2 Bruticus skin for the single player campaign.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be available on August 28th for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
