Getting delayed until 2013 is the new hip thing to do. First it was Metro: Last Light, then Bioshock Infinite, followed by Tomb Raider, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and Leisure Suit Larry. Now Capcom's reboot of Devil May Cry is following suite with a new release date set for Jan 15, 2013 in North America and Europe. As unfortunate as the delay is, the good news is that a PC version has been confirmed for later next year.
DmC Devil May Cry is being developed by UK-based studio, Ninja Theory, who previously worked on Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
Besides the new release date, Capcom's press release also details new character, Kat, a runaway described as an "undoubted exert" on the demon realm, Limbo. She can't interact with the realm directly, though, so she relies on Dante to do all the demon slaying.
Capcom released three pictures of Kat today, including one of Dante pulling a Mrs. Robinson on her.
