As If You Didn’t Have Enough Distractions: Browser-Based ‘Wolfenstein 3D 20th Anniversary’ Now Free

Wolfenstein 3D: shooting Nazi horrors for over 20 years.

Bethesda announced this morning that they’re making the browser-based classic FPS free-to-play through their site and the game’s Facebook page. They’ve also included a 20-plus minute “director’s commentary” by id Software co-founder John Carmack, which you can check out at the bottom of the post. You can play the game in-browser on Bethesda’s site or via its Facebook page.

If browser games aren’t your thing, the iOS game Wolfenstein 3D Classic Platinum will be available for free for a limited time today. That’s for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch if you’re so inclined to check it out. Bethesda didn’t pass along a window for when it will be available, but you can check the link for the game in the iTunes store throughout the day.
