Zoom in and touch your Solid Snake on the go.
While Konami won't nail down a specific date for the release, we know that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is on the way to the Vita this June, hopefully alleviating the doldrums that set in with the lack of summer releases. The port includes Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, bringing the aging/classic (depends on who you ask) stealth game to yet another platform.
Here's the official synopsis:
Fan-Favorites from Hideo Kojima's Legendary Franchise Hit the PlayStation®Vita System in June
Just in time for Father's Day and Graduation, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today unveiled the launch month for METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection, coming to the Playstation®Vita system this June. From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection includes two beloved classics, METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty and METAL GEAR SOLID 3: Snake Eater. Featuring stunning, upgraded graphics from the original releases on the PlayStation®2, both titles include Transfarring, where players can transfer save data from their PlayStation®3 METAL GEAR SOLID HD Collection to their PlayStation®Vita system and start the action from where they left off.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation®Vita allows fans to experience the series like never before with optimized controls that take full advantage of the Vita's unique touch-screen and rear touchpad. Using just their fingers, gamers can zoom in on captivating cut-scenes, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items, as well as perform quick attacks with their knife.
