Master Chief IRL: 'Halo' Coming to a Live-Action Web Series

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will be a new five-part web series about the inspirational power of John 343.

The web series, which is set to debut in the weeks leading up to the November 6th release of Halo 4, marks the most recent live-action foray for the series which has had numerous shorts in the lead-up to the Halo 3 and Reach. The 15-minute shorts will debut exclusively on both Halo Waypoint Machinima.com, featuring parallel stories of the Master Chief and a UNSC cadet who is inspired by the Spartan, ultimately becoming the CO for the UNSC Infinity.

343 Industries isn't showing off any footage from the new series yet, but we can probably expect to hear more around San Diego Comic-Con when the creative team for Halo 4 takes the stage to talk about the game.

The Forward Unto Dawn, for those of you needing a refresher on your Halo history, is the vessel in which Master Chief and Cortana are left drifting at the end of Halo 3.

Halo 4 makes its debut on the 360 on November 6th.
