True "fact," prolific and beloved comic creator/eternal Marvel movie extra Stan "The Man" Lee invented the hero sandwich. Okay, that's not actually a "fact," in the strictest sense of the term, but he was responsible for (or instrumental in the creation of) many of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Universe, and after half a century in the superhero-making business, he finally gets to play one in a game.

In London, while speaking to Addiction of Fiction, "The Man" revealed that he'd be a playable character in this summer's video game tie-in to the Spider-Man reboot. While publisher Activision hasn't passed along any official information on this front, it would be the first time that Lee was out front as a playable character in a game, he did narrate 2000's Neversoft-developed Spider-Man (and those games were terrific).
If the new Rhino reveal is any indication, along with Lee being in the game, it feels like developer Beenox will be taking a kitchen sink approach to The Amazing Spider-Man. It also makes me wonder if we might see any other Spidey skins in the game, something the developer has been really good about exploiting in the last couple of years with Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be available for all major platforms on July 3rd.
