You Can Now Record Video With Your Playstation Vita (At Least In Japan)

In the third firmware update since its launch last year, Japanese Playstation Vitas are getting the 1.60 update which brings with it a slew of additional features including video recording and Mac support. Sony, who likes to keep to keep enriching the feature sets and ahead of the hacker community is dropping 1.60 in Japan on February 8th.

Among the new features: the ability to manage your game data using a Mac; the Home button will now glow blue when the system is connected to a power source; the handheld's camera can now be used to record videos; Google Maps has been integrated so you have one more device to remind you that you don't know your cardinal directions.

The Playstation Vita will be available in the U.S. in its limited edition on February 15th with the regular editions going out a week later on the 22nd.
