Classic Sony-Published Games to Debut On Sony Tablets

ESRB listings reveal PS3 and PSP classics heading to Sony tablets.

Sony appears to be wisely using its ready-made library of classic titles to fill out the list of games available for use on the Sony Tablet S, with Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Daxter recently receiving certification by the ESRB for Playstation Certified devices. They’re joined by Fl0W as part of the opening salvo of current-gen and handheld titles joining the PSOne releases already available for their tablets.

Crash Bandicoot comes preloaded on the device along with Pinball Heroes on the Android Honeycomb-powered device. PSOne gaming is still relatively new to the device after a December update which provided a free download of an Ape Escape minigame collection, but this could be a pretty good sign that Sony is looking to flesh out the library beyond 10-year-old or more releases. Currently, there’s no date or pricing on the PSP and PS3 titles potentially joining the lineup.
