Rockstar is running a contest to allow some of their Twitter followers to be in their next stylish noir shooter.
Weird reaction of the day: I was pleasantly surprised to see that there would be lady henchmen you could shoot in Max Payne 3. Wait, no, don't go calling the police or anything, I'm just saying that outside of Saints Row: The Third most games have pretty much left the ladies out as armed muscle. After a while it just feels oddly condescending that women are kept out of harm's way in action games.
So yeah, Rockstar is running a contest where they want to put your face in Max Payne 3 as one of the bad guys. Cool, right?
Here's the official PR text:
Beginning today and continuing through January 13, 2012, Rockstar Games is offering our Twitter followers the unique opportunity to be immortalized as one of eight Max Payne 3 multiplayer gang characters, just by using the #MaxPayne3 hashtag on Twitter.
Every week from now until January 13, we will be selecting 10 people at random that have used the #MaxPayne3 hashtag. If selected, participants will be contacted either via tweet or direct message to submit a photo for consideration. Two finalists will be chosen from each group each week (eight people in total), and will have their likeness appear as a multiplayer gang character in the upcoming action shooter Max Payne 3.
Make sure to follow @RockstarGames on Twitter.
Make sure to use the hashtag #MaxPayne3 when talking about the game.
Keep an eye on Twitter replies and direct messages for contact through January 13, 2012. All fans that we contact will only have 48 hours to respond.
Visit the casting page for all of the details, and the official rules. (www.rockstargames.com/maxpayne3/casting)
Max Payne 3 will be available on March 6th for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3.
