If none of the other fighters announced thus far for "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" have met your standards for workplace-appropriate attire or weather powers, you'll be pleased to know that C. Viper of Street Fighter series fame and Ms. Ororo Munroe of the X-Men have now been officially outed. They'll bust knuckles and miniature tornadoes against the likes of She-Hulk, Zero, M.O.D.O.K. and the rest of the huge cast next year, and when they do, you can plan on seeing generous doses of electrical current flow out of them.
The intro videos for the two dangerous ladies showed up over GameSpot, and they bring the earth, wind and fire to their combos just as you would expect them to.
Viper's aerial attacks and take-downs are just as impressive as they were in "Street Fighter 4" — maybe even a little more so now that she's knocking out mutants and Captain America. M.O.D.O.K. hasn't "evolved beyond the joys of murder," however; Viper can be overheard reporting on her phone that she's tracked him down in one of the new clips, and he puts up a respectable fight with his psyonic blasts.
With a release date set for February 13, this amalgamated crew of heroes and villains will be out before you know it. Whether or not Capcom's still got more characters left to reveal in what now amounts to a half-year marathon of announcements, though, is a question I cannot answer.
