If Ubisoft's blacksmith and soldier additions for multiplayer in "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" were a little plain for your tastes, perhaps you'll enjoy some bionic soldier action. Kojima Productions will be bringing their man Raiden back for "Metal Gear Solid Rising" in 2011, but if some leaked screenshots are accurate, he'll be showing up for "Brotherhood" as well later this month.
Someone took a couple of snapshots of Raiden in "Brotherhood" and sent them in to Joystiq. Assuming the tipster wasn't playing around with enough time and resources to totally redesign Raiden for the sake of a prank, it looks like he'll be selectable in some fashion. With the "Rising" release on the horizon, this choice would make a lot of sense for Kojima and Konami.
Does this mean that "Brotherhood" could be adding other characters as well? Don't count on seeing a more mature Renaissance Italy-set variation on "Smash Bros" just yet, though if that's what Ubisoft wants, I can think of a few other suggestions. In fact, I'd quite like to run around Italy as Travis Touchdown in period garb, and while we're at it, let's throw Ghost from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" in there along with Marcus Fenix.
Yeah, that's all just wishful thinking, but I'd love to see some fan fiction sprout up explaining how Ezio and Raiden ended up crossing paths.
Would you be stoked to put on a Raiden skin while you're playing "AC: Brotherhood"? Who else would you like to be able to play as if Ubisoft's taking submissions? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
