The video game tie-in for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" is scheduled to launch three days before the movie. There's probably more excitement surrounding this release than previous "Harry Potter" games, thanks to its new genre: third-person shooter (or in this case third-person dueler).
So what scenes from the book are we most looking forward to playing? Here are three promising picks.
Chase Through London
This happens right at the beginning of the book when Bill and Fleur’s wedding is attacked by Death Eaters. Harry, Ron and Hermione escape from the wedding and are on the run. They apparate into the middle of London, go into a café and after trying to have a little cup of espresso they are attacked by Death Eaters and a battle ensues. Dueling in the middle of a London in café sounds pretty rad, right?
Flight of the Seven Potters
In order to trick the Death Eaters and escape from Privet Drive safely, Harry’s friends drink some Polyjuice Potion and transform into the Chosen One. They take flight on brooms sticks and a motorcycle and while in the sky the Death Eaters pursue them and a battle takes place. I’m very curious how this will play out in the game. Maybe we'll be able to toggle between the seven Harry Potters, while dueling on broomsticks? Interesting!
Destroying the Locket
Harry gives Ron the pleasure of destroying the Locket Horcrux using Godric Gryffindor’s sword. Ron’s worst fears pour out of the locket before he finally destroys it. I’m hoping that we will be able to fight the fears and then swing the sword down upon the locket. For such a dramatic and important moment in the book, I hope it’s as equally important and a bit difficult in the game.
