'Marvel vs. Capcom 3' Snags M.O.D.O.K., Bionic Commando And Others

Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Marvel and Capcom both packed character announcements into their panels at New York Comic Con over the the weekend, and the 30-plus fighters we can plan on seeing in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" before March 31, 2011 just came into focus a bit more. M.O.D.O.K., Magneto, Nathan Spencer of "Bionic Commando" and Sir Arthur of "Ghosts 'n Goblins" fame all appeared in new screenshots and video clips, and their attacks are looking as combo-rific as ever.

In case you're not already familiar with M.O.D.O.K., the letters in his name stand for "Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing," which will make a lot of sense when you hear him using words like murder and kill witch unbridled enthusiasm. The big-headed fellow packs a huge arsenal of weapons tech, and has a propulsion system built in down below.

Arthur, meanwhile, wields some medieval weaponry and magic to hold off his foes, much of which you may recognize from "G 'n G," as well as "Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts." Check out the trailer below and you'll see a fierce combo, along with some spear stabbing and other impressive maneuvers.

It's nice to see that the spirit of the face-paced button-masher is still alive and well in "MvC3." Longtime Marvel comics readers and Capcom game players should feel very loved with the wide span of history the two sides have covered in their team selections.

Did seeing M.O.D.O.K. join the ranks of "MvC3" make you happy? Who else do you want to see in this game by the time it comes out? Share your own responses with us in the comment section below.
