Ice-T Announces 'Gears of War 3' Role, Then Pulls A Jedi Mind Trick

Ice-T in Gears of War 3

Ice-T wears his love for video games in plain sight on his Twitter account — and on his face, in the case of his "Modern Warfare 2" night vision goggles. He may have been a little too excited during a recent video streaming session where he announced that he would be voice-acting in "Gears of War 3." Of course, he also quickly denied saying it.

"I didn't just say that," he said on his Ustream question-and-answer session, where he was spotted by Giant Bomb.

The uncensored chat, which covered subjects ranging from his feelings on NBC cancelling "Law and Order" and how he thinks listeners should interpret his old Body Count song "Cop Killer" to his favorite "Modern Warfare 2" maps and weapons. His "Gears 3" revelation topped everything else in terms of newsworthiness, however.

The game already has a Star Wars author on board and has kept further information to minimum since it was announced on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

Just who Ice will play remains to be seen, and you can bet that anyone from Epic Games answering questions at E3 will get the chance to answer that question. Here's hoping that whoever he voices, the character will be worthy of a list of credits that includes Madd Dogg from "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."
