One of the two new Tom Clancy titles Ubisoft's Michel Verheijdt recently teased is now accounted for, as the company announced that they'll release "H.A.W.X. 2" for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC.
"With over one million units sold worldwide, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. has become a very successful brand for Ubisoft," Ubisoft's creative director Bogdan Bridinel said in a press release. "This new H.A.W.X. game is directly inspired by Tom Clancy's books, and it will enable fans to once again experience the excitement and intensity that established H.A.W.X. as a successful brand."
That means that if you recently scored a free copy of the original "H.A.W.X" you could be treated to a new follow-up in the near future. It also means in even more transparent words that Ubisoft has a lot of confidence in H.A.W.X. as a brand.
Exactly how soon the game will show up is less clear, but it's slated for a fall release. So assuming it doesn't fall prey to whatever circumstances "Splinter Cell: Conviction" encountered, it sounds like you'll have a new Tom Clancy game in time for the holidays.
