Blizzard has confirmed the news that the entire nation of South Korea has been waiting for: "StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty" will be hitting stores on July 27, 2010. Yes, this year! Shocking, I know! The game was announced almost three years ago and since then we've seen a stream of gameplay footage, class tidbits and a massive multiplayer beta. All that preamble comes to an end in about three months. Be still, my heart.
"StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty" is the first in a trilogy of "StarCraft 2" releases. This installment focuses on the Terran side of the war, while the following two games will cover the Zerg and Protoss (likely in that order). The release date for those games is currently unknown.
