The popular browser game is to be discontinued as of May 15, 2010, on the networking site.
Official statements have been made on the matter, with "YoVille" Community Manager Pink Ninja announcing that the rumors of Tagged players losing their houses, coins and items are "completely untrue."
Furthermore, Platinum Ninja made a new blog post confirming that players will not lose any of their hard-earned goodies. Platinum Ninja stated, "Starting this weekend we will no longer be receiving purchases from Tagged Players or accepting new Tagged players on "Yoville." Going forward, Yoville will be turned off from Tagged as of May 15th 2010".
The blog also confirmed information about the migration process will be online soon.
For those who play "YoVille" via MySpace or Facebook, this issue will not pose a problem. Although less popular, the Tagged following are going to be miffed that their site of choice is losing the game's services. More details are sure to arrive online shortly, as Zynga continue to keep players informed on the situation.
