Metallica Gets ‘Tap Tap Revenge’ Title For iPhone

Metallica already has their own “Guitar Hero” game on shelves, but legendary metal heads have their eyes on the iPhone and iPod touch as well. Now they’ll be staking a out space in Apple’s App Store with “Tap Tap Revenge: Metallica” a spin-off of the high-profile series of mobile music games, with a greatest-hits-style lineup of tracks like “Enter Sandman” and “One,” as well as a few other features for keeping tabs on the band that effectively make it a Metallica news app to boot. Check out the complete track list after the jump.

“Tap Tap Revenge fans have been wanting an app from us that rocks and no band embodies rock music better than Metallica,” Tapulous head of business development Tim O’Brien said in a press release. “The Tap Tap Revenge: Metallica App really captures the head-thrashing metal of James, Lars, Kirk and Robert and is our most amped up game to date.”

The game’s track list includes:

• “Enter Sandman”
• “Sad But True”
• “King Nothing”
• “All Nightmare Long”
• “Some Kind of Monster”
• “Master of Puppets”
• “Seek and Destroy”
• “Fuel”
• “One”
• “For Whom the Bell Tolls”

The game includes Career and Arcade modes, in addition to a Bluetooth-based Battles Mode for close-proximity duels. All of that comes packages for the moderate App Store price of $4.99.
