The PS3 motion controller, shown at E3 2009 this year in the above sword-fighting demo, hasn’t made much of an impact since its debut. Despite the fact that we don’t really know how many games will support it, it’s not terribly far away from release.
“Kaz” Hirai, Sony Computer Entertainment head honcho, spoke to The Times regarding the controller, and went so far as to nail down when we can expect it:
“We are slating it for spring of next year. One of the things is that we just don’t want to put out the controller. We need a great software that supports the controller at launch. It’s something that we’ve been working on for the longest time.”
Interesting! “God of War 3” support perhaps? Or “Heavy Rain”? Both seem like perfect, if violent, fits!
