Just days ago the user review score for the critically lauded "Gears of War 2" was a dreadful 3.2 out of 10 on MetaCritic. That was the product of more than 3000 votes, probably all of whom from people who had not touched the then-unreleased game. MetaCritic editor Marc Doyle told 1Up.com that the review aggregation site was looking into a solution.
As of this morning, something has changed. As of 8AM ET, there were just 26 user scores. Their average?
Maybe MetaCritic needs to stop using the popular vote and switch to the Electoral College system.
