It took only two tweets to set the world of “Jurassic Park” fans on fire last night. A digital asset manager and a concept artist sent out tweets—that have since been deleted—about “Jurassic Park 4” being on hold for now, at the very least.
That’s all there was to the story until a fan site for the movie published their “exclusive” inside take on what was holding up the production, currently set for release on June 13, 2014.
The sites source claims that “Jurassic Park 4” is still in production, but there are some changes coming. “Not to worry however, as we are told that Colin Trevorrow is still directing the film and adds that the film will deliver on an EPIC scale,” the site writes.

“It is this ’EPIC’ demand by the studio however, which has lead to the current situation. It seems Universal wants to pull out all the stops and go above and beyond what they had initially set their goals to be. This has lead to a number of disagreements between those working on the project and the Studio, which has resulted in an overhaul within the film’s production crew.”
Wow, that sounds EPIC. Kidding aside, we’re going to have to wait and see how this ultimately affects the release schedule for the movie. Trevorrow was tweeting photos from location scouts as recently as last week, so this sounds like it came out of nowhere.
