'Star Trek Into Darkness': See 7 Minutes Of Behind-The-Scenes Footage

Star Trek

It's easy to forget when you're watching a movie as fantastical as "Star Trek" that it's actually the product of hundreds of hours of work by teams of men and women behind the scenes. That's why it's such a joy to catch a glimpse of what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling.

Bigger releases typically make b-roll, footage taken during filming behind the scenes, available for any news outlets that want to pull from it when cutting together video packages about the movie. But this footage also offers an interesting insight to the film making process.

You can check out the footage after the jump, but don't forget to tune into MTV tomorrow (5/8) at 7:56 p.m. ET for a look at a never-before-seen clip from "Star Trek Into Darkness," followed by a 30-minute interview with the cast and director J.J. Abrams on MTV.com.
