As with the rest of the internet, we have basically blown a hyperdrive with excitement over this Disney-Lucasfilm "Episode VII" fiasco. There is so much information and an infinite number of questions to go along.
MTV News has been covering the story from the very start from every different angle, so if you still aren't sure what to make of George Lucas' retirement and the newly established reign of Empire Mickey Mouse, here is all the news you need to cover your (moon) bases.
The first wave of news pretty much caught everyone off guard, but the facts were straight forward. "Episode VII" is set to hit theaters in 2015, roughly the same time frame that Disney expects to unleash Joss Whedon's "The Avengers 2." (The reality of that last sentence has yet to set in.)
So great, "Episode VII" is on its way. What the hell does that mean? There are so many questions about the new trilogy, but these are just the first few we need answered.
But is this necessarily a good thing? It's been almost 30 years since the last "Star Wars" movie that didn't make your uncle cry tears of sadness. If Disney is going to continue the series, these are the lessons they need to learn first.
