Last night, troll director J.J. Abrams debuted the first clip from “Star Trek Into Darkness” on “Conan,” but at only three frames long, the preview is essentially the first image from “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
Abrams told Conan O’Brien that he wanted to bring something special for fans, but that Paramount wasn’t so keen on the idea, thus the laughably short clip.

To set up the clip, Abrams offered an equally small amount of context for the scene we were about to see. “This is scene where Spock, who is one of the main characters, for reasons that you’ll have to see the film to understand, is in a volcano in this crazy suit,” he said.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen something from the “Star Trek Into Darkness” volcano scene. Earlier in the year, a spy photo from the set showed Zachary Quinto hanging hilariously from wires in the same space suit that we see here.
But what is Spock doing in the volcano?!?! We must know!!!
