“Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection”

Story: Universal has packed all of their classic monsters into one horrifying Blu-ray collection. The set includes Blu-ray editions of “Dracula,” “Frankenstein,” “The Mummy,” “The Invisible Man,” “Bride of Frankenstein,” “The Wolf Man,” “Phantom of the Opera,” and “Creature from the Black Lagoon.”

On the Disc:
Each film comes with a ton of special features, each worth spending hours with, learning the backstory of all the classic horror movies. It should be noted that the “Dracula” disc also includes the Spanish version in high-def, and the “Creature from the Black Lagoon” includes a 3-D version.

The disc comes a little light on the special features side. There are two making-of featurettes and two segments from “Fox Movie Channel Presents.”
