In the past two years, Jeremy Renner has gone from well-respect, but relatively unknown indie player to an A-list action hero, but for his latest project, the actor is eying a rather dramatic role.
According to Deadline, Renner and “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon are considering joining DreamWorks’ proposed WikiLeaks film. Renner would take on the role of the site’s infamous leader Julian Assange.

The DreamWorks production is just one of several Assange projects in the pipeline, this one coming from two books, “WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange’s War On Secrecy” by David Leigh and Luke Harding and “Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange At The World’s Most Dangerous Website” by Daniel Domscheit-Berg.
You can see Renner next in “The Bourne Legacy,” which is due out next months. Bill Condon has “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” in theaters this November.
