‘Indiana Jones’ Blu-Ray Collection Hits Stores September 18

Get your Fedoras and whips ready, because the Blu-Ray collection of the “Indiana Jones” films is officially coming out September 18.

Lucasfilm and Paramount Home Media Distribution sent out a press release today making the big announcement. The complete collection will include “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Temple of Doom,” “The Last Crusade” and “Kingdoms of the Crystal Skull” in their best versions yet.

“Supervised by director Steven Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt, ’Raiders of the Lost Ark’ has been meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving the original look, sound and feel of the iconic film,” the press release reads. “The original negative was first scanned at 4K and then examined frame-by-frame so that any damage could be repaired.”

The sound design has also been preserved using Burtt’s “original master mix.” The Blu-Ray collection will include surround sound capabilities and the dialogue has been improved in these versions, so at least you have the comfort of knowing that you’ll be getting the best “Indiana Jones” editions available.
