This week brings the long-awaited release of the Criterion Collection’s reissue of the classic “Harold and Maude.” Also out this week, there’s last year’s follow-up to Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes,” the Neveldine and Taylor-ification of “Ghost Rider,” and a new DC Comic Premiere Movie.

“Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” (2012)

Story:
Crank co-directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor helm this sequel to 2007’s Ghost Rider that finds Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) summoning his infernal alter ego to help rescue a ten-year-old boy from the Devil incarnate.

Like “Sherlock Holmes,” “Spirit of Vengeance” comes with Maximum Mode Mode, where directors Neveldin and Taylor walk you threw the making of the movie. There are also deleted scenes and a series of making-of featurettes.

“Superman vs. The Elite” (2012)

A group of so-called superheroes have been supposedly fighting for good, but leaving their enemies dead. This spurs Superman to stamp out their antics, leading to a battle on the surface of one of Jupiter’s moons.
