People were hungry for more than just ham and Easter egg hunts this weekend, it seems. "The Hunger Games" continues to do massive business at the box office, claiming another first place title for the third weekend in a row. The Jennifer Lawrence-starring adaptation snatched up $33.5 million over the weekend, far outpacing its closest competitor, "American Reunion," which scored only $21.5 million. Guess people aren't as into Jason Biggs' junk as I thought they'd be.
To date, "Hunger Games" has made more than $300 million at the domestic box office, with its global total beyond $450 million. Not too shabby, Katniss!
