Brad Pitt To Star In 'Twelve Years A Slave'

He'll join Michael Fassbender and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the cast, The Playlist confirms. The movie follows a free black man who was tricked into years of slavery under various owners until a white Canadian carpenter helped launch a court case and finally set him free. It's unclear which role Pitt will be playing, but it likely will be of the carpenter.

See Tobey Maguire As Nick Carraway

Earlier this summer, set photos of Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" hit the web, and now the first look at Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway has made its way online. Celebuzz has the photos which show Maguire walking around in a top hat and a bow tie on the Long Island set. The movie is set for release on December 25, 2012.

The Alien Queen Is Out Of The Bag

It turns out that "Prometheus" is a part of the "Alien" franchise after all. In an interview with Nerd Bastards, actor Rafe Spall admitted that the movie does take place within the world of Ridley Scott's "Alien." "I've been sent an e-mail about what I'm allowed to say and what I'm not allowed to say and I haven't read the e-mail," he said with a laugh. "It's out next June, and it's part of the 'Alien' franchise... I think fans of the franchise will love it. 'Alien' is one of the best films ever made, and it's a real buzz to be in a space suit on an 'Alien' set with Ridley Scott coming and speaking to you."

Ken Jeong Explaining "The Chung Factor"

TheWrap has learned that Ken Jeong is set to both star in and produce the movie "The Chung Factor" for Lionsgate. The script was on the 2005 Black List, and is written by first-timer Andy Selsor. "The Chung Factor" follows Jeong as a relationship coach who sabotages one of his clients' relationships because the client is trying to get with Jeong's ex-girlfriend.

H&M Inspired By "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"

Fashion retailer H&M announced that it will be starting a clothing collection based on the character Lisbeth Salander from "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," Fox News reports. Designed by Trish Summerville (who made the clothes in David Fincher's upcoming adaptation), the 30-piece collection will have a "dark urban feel" replete with leather jackets, trousers, torn jeans and slouchy hoodies. It will be available in stores on December 14, a week before the movie hits theaters.

Karl Urban, Ben Barnes And Maybe Emilia Clarke Go Into "Overdrive"

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Karl Urban and Ben Barnes have been cast as car-thief brothers in Antonio Negret's upcoming action film "Overdrive." The entertainment site reports that "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke is currently in negotiations to play the female lead. "Taken" scribe Pierre Morel wrote the script. No word yet on when the film will go in front of the camera.
