‘Game Of Thrones’ Gains A Pirate, Ryan Gosling Might Work With Terrence Malick

Pirates are coming as surely as winter to the second season of “Game of Thrones.”

Entertainment Weekly learned that British actor Lucian Msamati has been tapped to play Lyseni pirate Salladhor Saan. As a friend of Davos Seaworth, Saan is a mercenary pirate who joins the ranks of Stannis Baratheon’s rebellion against the Lannister forces at King’s Landing. Lucky for Msamati, Saan has a significant presence through the rest of the series.

Ryan Gosling To Work With Terrence Malick?
If “Drive” director Nicolas Winding Refn is to be believed, Ryan Gosling will be working with film auteur Terrence Malick before he goes on to star in “Logan’s Run.” Film School Rejects is reporting that Refn mentioned that Gosling might be working on Malick’s untitled next film. He would be joining Ben Affleck, Jessica Chastain, Rachel McAdams, Rachel Weisz, Michael Sheen, Javier Bardem and more in the star-studded cast, if Refn is correct.

Rob Corddry To Be One Of Summit’s “Warm Bodies”
Variety has learned that Rob Corddry is in final negotiations to join Summit Entertainment’s zombie romance flick “Warm Bodies.” He’ll join the previously announced leads Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer as a zombie who is different from the rest of his undead kin. “Warm Bodies” follows an “existentially-tormented zombie” who falls for the girlfriend of one of his victims, and ends up reconnecting with his lost humanity as he protects her from his fellow zombies.

Kyle Chandler Has A Role In “Argo”
Ben Affleck is gearing up to begin filming his latest directorial effort, “Argo,” and USA Today has learned that Kyle Chandler is the latest actor to come on board. Though they didn’t disclose what part he will be playing, the newspaper did say that the “Friday Night Lights” star will have a “small part” in the film. “Argo” is about the 1979 Iran hostage crisis, and is set to hit theaters in 2012.

Alexander Skarsgard Joins “Disconnect”
The film roles continue to come in for “True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard. After being cast in “The East” earlier this week, Variety is reporting that he and three other stars have come on board the indie film “Disconnect.” He will be joined by Michael Nyqvist, Frank Grillo and Colin Ford in the internet-centered drama. Skarsgard will play a former Marine who is emotionally cut off from his wife, which causes him to seek out an affair.
