Matthew McConaughey And Matt Bomer Become Strippers For 'Magic Mike'

Matt BomerMatthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer are the latest two actors to join the stripper flick "Magic Mike."

In addition to those two Hollywood beefcakes, the movie also stars Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer. "Magic Mike" is the semi-true story of Channing's time spent as an exotic dancer in Florida. Hollywood Crush has the full scoop on the casting, including McConaughey playing a retired stripper who owns the salon the boys work at and Bomer being a working boy in the group. The flick is being slated for a 2012 release date.

"G.I. Joe 2" Gets A Grunt

"Veronica Mars" star Ryan Hansen tweeted that he is the latest actor to join "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." "I play a Joe named Grunt. Small part but awesome," he said. Hansen said he started filming on Tuesday. Grunt was a character in the original "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" whose real name was Robert Graves and who you'd never see blow his cool.

Danny Trejo And M.C. Gainey Head To "Haunted High"

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Danny Trejo is being joined by M.C. Gainey, Charisma Carpenter, Marc Donato and Jonathan Baron in the latest Syfy original movie, "Haunted High." The flick is set at fictional New England private school Holloman Academy that gets visited by a demonic dead headmaster, played by Gainey. Trejo plays a janitor who is actually the school's guardian.

Jonah Hill In Talks To Join "Neighborhood Watch"

Following the lead of Rosemarie DeWitt, Jonah Hill is allegedly in negotiations to join Ben Stiller's sci-fi comedy "Neighborhood Watch." Vulture has the news, but says that Hill is asking for a bit more money than "Neighborhood Watch" has the money for. No word yet on what character Hill would play. The flick follows a group of bored married couples running a neighborhood watch who end up uncovering an alien invasion plot.

Dakota Fanning In Negotiations To Star In "Effie"

Deadline is reporting that Dakota Fanning is starring in the Emma Thompson-written flick "Effie." Originally the role was supposed to go to Saoirse Ronan, but now apparently the role has gone to Fanning. The biopic tells the story of Euphemia Gray and her husband John Ruskin in 1850s London. Greg Wise will play Ruskin, and Tom Sturridge will play Millais, the man Effie ends up falling in love with.

Luke Wilson Also Gets "Straight A's"

Luke Wilson is hot on the heels of Anna Paquin and Ryan Phillippe as they all head to "Straight A's." He will play Phillippe's brother in the flick, who Paquin's character is married to. Phillippe plays a man who spent the previous decade in and out of rehab, and is urged to return home by his dead mother's ghost. When he returns to his family, he discovers that his brother's wife, played by Paquin, still has feelings for him. "Wonderland" helmer James Cox will be directing the flick.
