Tom Cruise Has 'One Shot' As Jack Reacher

Tom CruiseTom Cruise's next few years have just turned significantly busier, thanks to his deciding to sign on to the adaptation of Lee Child's novel "One Shot."

Deadline has the news, saying that director Christopher McQuarrie will helm the flick. Cruise is currently filming "Rock of Ages," and will move on to "One Shot" in early fall. After that wraps, he's right on into Joseph Kosinski's "Oblivion," and by then we're sure he'll have several more films on the docket as well.

Sean Bean Becomes Another Ill-Fated Father

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that "Game of Thrones" actor Sean Bean will be playing Snow White's ill-fated father in Tarsem Singh's take on the classic fairytale. Julia Roberts plays his evil stepwife, Lily Collins the titular princess and Armie Hammer the prince who saves her.

Daniel Brühl "Rush"es To First Post-"Inglorious Basterds" Role

Screen Daily has the news that "Inglorious Basterd's" Daniel Brühl is following up his Hollywood break-out role with Ron Howard's "Rush." Chris Hemsworth recently signed on for the lead in the film written by Peter Morgan. Brühl would play Austrian Formula One champion Niki Lauda.

Rhys Ifans Joins "Bond 23"

The list of stars for Sam Mendes' take on the James Bond franchise grows ever longer. The latest is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" star Rhys Ifans, though his role is unspecified. The Telegraph reports on Ifans' involvement, as well as confirming that previously-announced Javier Bardem will be the flick's villain.

Sam Rockwell In, Jeremy Renner Out Of "Chemistry"

It was only a matter of time before Jeremy Renner had to turn something down, and The Playlist is reporting that movie is indie "Better Living Through Chemistry." Fortunately, Renner's Marvel costar Sam Rockwell has moved in to replace him in the film. The flick also stars Jennifer Garner, Judi Dench and Michelle Monaghan.
