With only 15 days until "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" hits theaters, Paramount is doing its best to amp up our anticipation for the third installment of Michael Bay's saga. And they're doing it pretty well, too, considering these two words: Sentinel Prime.
Yahoo released eight new stills from the upcoming film that combined a look at the human characters in the film with some new shots of the giant fighting robots we are most looking forward to seeing. While we're sure there are going to be a whole lot more surprises in the movie once it is released June 29, it's nice to get continuous sneak peeks at how great the action is going to be.
Obviously the still we're most excited about is the shot of Sentinel and Optimus Prime. A regular of the animated series but a newcomer to the "Transformers" movies, Sentinel is Optimus Prime's friend and mentor, and an all around badass. Did we mention he's voiced by Leonard Nimoy as well? Because he is. And it's awesome.
We don't know too much about Sam Witwicky's relationship with Carly Miller, played by newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, so we are loving this new image of them wrapped around each other while Sam's at work. They certainly seem to love each other very much, so hopefully that means we'll cut out that love-interest-in-distress exposition we had in the first "Transformers."
