Emma Watson Prepares For More ‘American Talk’

Emma Watson already spoke in “American Talk” once to hilarious results, so how will she fare when she has to do it again in the upcoming “The Perks of Being a Wallflower“?

“It’s good. Having been out in Pittsburgh for four weeks — it’s OK,” the “Harry Potter” actress tells MTV News of how her American accent’s developing for the role. “It’s good. I’m hopeful about it.” Just don’t ask her to start switching accents in the middle of a conversation—she’s still practicing, folks!

Check out the rest of today’s big Hollywood news past the jump, including some “Breaking Dawn” Comic-Con plans and news on the long-gestating “Star Wars” television project.

“Breaking” Comic-Con
Don’t expect a super-huge superhero presence at Comic-Con International this year. Splash Page reports on a New York Times article suggesting that some of the biggest upcoming blockbusters like “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Superman” might not have a presence at this year’s show. The upside? “Breaking Dawn” will be there!

A Long Time From Now, In A Galaxy Far Away…
The long-developing “Star Wars” live-action television series reportedly has 50 hours of third-draft scripts to its name. But that doesn’t mean they’ll ever see the light of day; AICN directs us to an interview with Rick McCallum, who says development is still quite a ways off due to budgetary concerns.

Hanks For Three
Heat Vision has the scoop on three new projects with Tom Hanks’ name all over ’em. Up first: “American Gods,” the Neil Gaiman novel adaptation that’s headed to HBO for six seasons through Hanks’ Playtone Productions. Then there’s Mattell’s “Major Matt Mason,” which Hanks may star in with Robert Zemeckis directing. Finally, Hanks and Playtone are producing a big-screen adaptation of “American Idiot,” the Green Day musical currently thriving on Broadway.
