She’ll next be seen as Rooney Mara’s lesbian lover in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”

Mackie Goes “Gangster”
We visited Anthony Mackie on the set of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” just a few weeks ago, and the actor told us that while he’s most certainly interested, he wasn’t confirmed for a role in Ruben Fleischer’s “Gangster Squad.” Well, consider it confirmed: the “Hurt Locker” actor has closed his deal to star alongside Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn in the gangster drama, according to Variety.
Affleck Meets Arkin
Ben Affleck has hired Oscar-winning actor Alan Arkin as the first cast member aboard his next directorial effort, the Tehran hostage crisis movie “Argo.” Variety reports that Arkin is in negotiations to play Lester Siegel, a Hollywood producer and O.S.S. veteran who is “equal parts bookie and rabbi.”
More “War” For Dale
After his memorable turn on HBO’s “The Pacific,” James Badge Dale is shipping out to war once again. Show Blitz reports that the “Rubicon” actor is in negotiations to star alongside Brad Pitt in “World War Z,” the post-apocalyptic zombie tale based on Max Brooks’ novel of the same name.
Han Suffers A “Headshot”
Sung Kang, best known for his recurring role as Han in the past three “Fast and the Furious” movies, is teaming up with Sylvester Stallone for “Headshot,” Walter Hill’s upcoming action comedy about a hitman (Stallone) who teams up with a New York City cop for a mutual goal. Kang’s role remains unspecified at the moment, Coming Soon reports, though there’s speculation that he’s replacing Thomas Jane as the cop.
“Gotti” Gets Humbled
Looks like Barry Levinson’s “Gotti: Three Generations” has taken another hit. Deadline reports that the director will team up with Al Pacino for an adaptation of Philip Roth’s “The Humbling” before focusing on the struggling “Gotti” flick, which has John Travolta attached to star and has had Lindsay Lohan in and out of numerous roles.
