'The Hangover Part III'? Todd Phillips Talks About How He Might End The 'Hangover' Trilogy

We've barely recovered from the last "Hangover," and now we're about to inflict ourselves with another one, albeit in a new, beautiful and exotic Thailand locale. Still — isn't it a bit early to start thinking about "The Hangover Part III"?

Nonsense — it's never too early to think of such things! And we're not the only ones wondering whether or not Todd Phillips will assemble the wolf-pack for another round of drunken debauchery after their latest misadventure lands in theaters. In fact, it's Phillips himself who's fueling speculation on a third "Hangover" movie.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference yesterday, Phillips confirmed that he's already giving thought to "The Hangover Part III," a film that would both break away from the original morning-after format of the first two movies as well as provide a definitive ending for the comedy trilogy.

"Quite honestly we really haven't talked about it as we just finished the movie two weeks ago, this is the first time we've all been together in awhile," Phillips said at the press conference, as transcribed by Collider. "If we were to do a third one, if the audience… if the desire was there… I think we have a clear idea where that would head and it's certainly not in the same template you've seen these movies."

"Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy as you can imagine," he continued to laughter. "The third would very much a finale and an ending. The most I could say about it and I haven't discussed it with these actors is that it is not following that template but very much a new idea."

So there you have it — Phillips is already thinking about what he'd do with another "Hangover." But with format changes already in his mind, what else is he thinking about altering? Another new location, perhaps? We've already been to Las Vegas and Thailand — where could we go next?

"As far as where it takes place… I'm very open like the Olympic committee to being pitched and presented cities," he joked. "Flown around with wine and women and bribed and then I will make my decision."
