New ‘Transformers: Dark Of The Moon’ Photos Reveal A Mysterious Villain In Today’s Dailies

Okay, so we know that this is Shockwave, but… who the frak is this guy?!

Some more new photos from Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” have arrived online courtesy of Apple, including a good look at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Carly and… well, this guy. Perhaps I need to brush up my “Transformers” Shakespeare, but I can’t place this new villain. He sort of looks like the floating Megatron head-fortress from “Beast Machines,” but that would be a pretty obscure reference. Who or whatever this new machine is, one thing is pretty clear: he’s not on our side.

There’s more news after the jump, including brand-new trailers for “X-Men: First Class” and “Bridesmaids,” plus a new take on “Zorro” that sends the masked swordsman into… the future?!

Z is for ZorroBot-438
Hero Complex has the somewhat (okay, alottawhat) troubling news that a new “Zorro” movie is on its way, but it’ll be set in the future. The reboot, tentatively titled “Zorro Reborn,” takes place in a desolate and post-apocalyptic future where the masked vigilante cuts down enemies on an epic vengeance quest.

Anthony Madler Dies “In a Gunfight”
No, no one’s really dead. Instead, Zac Efron has landed a director for his upcoming project, “Die in a Gunfight.” Deadline reports that the job’s going to Anthony Mandler, a photographer, music video and commercial director currently attached to a separate project called “Vlad” for Summit Entertainment.

Crazy Gary Busey Joins Crazy “Piranha” Sequel
Does this need further elaboration? Gary Busey, late of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” will next bring his signature brand of madness to “Piranha 3DD,” currently in production. Who’s gonna come out on top? It’s a tough call, but in the end, like that old show, I’m with Busey.

“Bridesmaids” Gets Filthy, Awesome
I had the pleasure of seeing Kristen Wiig’s fantastic “Bridesmaids” a couple of months ago, and pretty soon, you’ll have the opportunity to see what all the hype is about yourself when it lands in theaters this May. For now, the film’s just-released red-band trailer should suffice. Insert obligatory NSFW warning here.

New “X-Men: First Class” Trailer is (wait for it) First Class
What they’re lacking in poster quality, the “X-Men: First Class” team is absolutely knocking out of the park in the trailer department. A brand new trailer for the mutant-studded prequel arrived online today, and it is, in a word, thebestthingever. Give it a look-see and tell us what you think.
