The trailer is a long time coming, considering everything else Warner Bros. has teased us with so far: a whole slew of new photos, a look at the flick’s opening scene, even more footage and one of the coolest posters we’ve ever seen. And based on what we’ve learned from the early marketing for the “Potter” movies, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Wednesday’s trailer.

“It All Ends”
This one’s kind of a gimme. As we already saw in the first poster, the tagline for “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” is “It All Ends,” which means you can bet your bottom dollar that we’re going to be hearing a lot about how this is the final “Harry Potter” installment and everything is coming to a climax in this flick. Smart money says that the last words to flash on the screen will be “It all ends July 15, in theaters and IMAX 3D.”
The Final Showdown
That poster also highlights what’s sure to be the main focus of all “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” marketing from here on out: the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort. Not only are we sure to see plenty of shots from the final battle (“Only I can live forever!”), but we’re counting on a good portion of the trailer being dedicated to preparing for the Voldemort face-off. We are definitely not complaining about any of that.
Neville, The Death Eaters, And Ollivander
But fortunately we should be looking forward to some of our other favorite secondary characters in this trailer as well. It’s rare to see photos like Neville with Gryffindor’s sword and the Death Eaters in full force this early on without them ending up in early trailers. Similarly, we’ll probably at least see Ollivander in the video considering that the whole first scene from “Part 2” where Harry talks to him is already online.
Scenes We’re Likely To See
In addition to the obvious ones — like, as we mentioned, many, many shots of the final battle — we also have a pretty good sense of the scenes we might be seeing this time around as well. There will definitely be a lot of stuff from Gringott’s in there, considering we’ve seen a ton of footage already, but we’re guessing that we’ll see Harry struggling in Bellatrix’s vault as well since this photo has hit the web. There also is a certain death scene and a flashback sequence that both were teased in previous footage that we’re sure will pop up again.
Hello Darkness, My Old Friend
This isn’t your granddaughter’s “Harry Potter” movie, okay? By this point in time, all pretense of levity and brightness is gone from the “Potter” marketing campaign, and has been replaced with the realization that this is the end. Yes, a lot of people are going to die, and the world almost destroyed, and Harry has to make many hard sacrifices. But is it going to be worth it? Absolutely.
