'The Change-Up' Red Band Trailer Puts Ryan Reynolds And Jason Bateman In Each Other's Shoes

The Change-UpLet's face it — whether it's Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster or Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan swapping bodies, "Freaky Friday" just isn't a movie for the dude crowd. But Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman trading places for a hardcore R-rated comedy romp? Maybe that's a different story.

We've got a funny feeling that their upcoming team-up "The Change-Up" is going to deliver the goods, and if you don't believe us, all you have to do is click past the jump and check out the restricted trailer that was just released by Universal.

But be warned — you're heading into severe NSFW territory. Proceed at your own risk!

In essence, Reynolds and Bateman's "The Change-Up" is "Freaky Friday" for the not-so-gentle man, focusing on best pals Mitch (Reynolds) and Dave (Bateman) — the former a barely employed and lackadaisical ladies' man, the latter an overly responsible married lawyer and father of three. The two are envious of each other's lives, but get more than they bargained for when a freak accident results in them swapping bodies. Just an average day in the life, really.

Hard-R hilarity ensues, and you don't need to see the red-band trailer to know that you're in for gross-out gags galore. Just look at the people involved with "The Change-Up": even beyond the reliably funny Reynolds and Bateman, the movie comes from "Wedding Crashers" director David Dobkin and "The Hangover" screenwriters Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. Couple that with Bateman and Reynolds doing their best impersonations of each other and it's pretty safe to say that we have a winner on our hands. A filthy, wretched winner, sure, but a winner all the same.
