When you’re as famous and desired as Robert Pattinson, you’re bound to run into some truly bizarre requests from time to time. But that doesn’t make it any less strange or unsettling when you come into contact with “Twilight” lube.
All week long we’ve been counting down the days until “MTV First: Robert Pattinson,” our special 30-minute interview on MTV and MTV.com with Rob where he’ll premiere a clip from his upcoming movie “Water for Elephants” and field some questions from Josh Horowitz and fans, by bringing you our five favorite RPattz moments.
So far, we’ve reintroduced you to Rob’s very first interview with MTV, his infamous near-kiss with “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart on stage at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards and his first appearance on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. But today, we’re going into decidedly darker waters by exploring the weird world of glitter lube.
When we interviewed the erstwhile Edward Cullen while he was promoting “Eclipse” last year, we asked him about the “Twilight” merchandise that’s left him the most perplexed. His answer came easily: glitter lube.
“I like the glitter lube stuff. I thought that was really funny,” he laughed. “I was just like, ’I did not sign that! Where is the paper?'”
Tell us what you think of our fourth Pattinson moment in the comments section and on Twitter, and don’t forget to tune into the show on Friday!
