SAG Awards Nominations 2011: 'True Grit' Snags Two Much Deserved Nods For Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld!

True GritAs awards season trudges on towards the Academy Awards early next year, we're seeing a lot of repeat offenders getting love, while other films have been surprisingly ignored altogether.

That trend is partially continued with today's announcement of the SAG Awards nominations. As expected, films like "The King's Speech" and "The Fighter" are doing just fine, with both of those pictures earning four nominations a piece.

But there's a pleasant surprise for fans of the Coen Bros., too: "True Grit," the directing pair's soon-to-release Western epic, snagged two nods from the SAGs after getting shut out completely at the Golden Globes.

A full list of SAG Awards nominees is below, with most of the results playing out as expected: Natalie Portman and Annette Bening are once again going head-to-head in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role category for their work in "Black Swan" and "The Kids Are All Right," respectively, while Christian Bale remains a mainstay in the supporting actor category for his celebrated turn as Dicky Eklund in "The Fighter."

But it's the "True Grit" nominations that have us most excited. Jeff Bridges received an Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role nomination for his work as the one-eyed Rooster Cogburn, a past-his-prime U.S. Marshal that helps young Mattie Ross on her vengeance-fueled quest against the man who shot and killed her father. Hailee Steinfeld, the brilliant young actress responsible for bringing Mattie to life, also earned a nomination in the supporting category.

Check out the full list of nominees below. Winners will be announced when the 17 Annual Screen Actors Guild Award are broadcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 8 p.m. ET.
