Following his critically acclaimed (and, fingers crossed, potentially Oscar nominated) performance as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in "The Social Network," Jesse Eisenberg has instantly become an actor to watch — and thankfully, we know where we can watch him next.
The Wrap reports that Eisenberg has found his next project in the form of indie dramedy "Free Samples." The actor joins an extensive cast including Jess Weixler, Jason Ritter, Tippi Hedren, Hallie Pfeiffer, Keir O'Donnell, Jocelyn Donahuge and Matt Walsh.
Eisenberg's latest role is merely a supporting one, however, as "Free Samples" focuses mainly on Weixler's character.
According to the report, "Free Samples" centers on a law school drop-out (Weixler) who occupies her time by working as an ice cream server at a friend's food truck. As she grows impatient with the job and the assorted clientele, our protagonist has to simultaneously deal with the advances of a young man (Eisenberg) that she barely remembers from the previous night.
With Eisenberg playing a supporting role, here's hoping that the on-the-rise actor has enough room in his schedule to deliver another leading man performance in the near future. Personally, we're hoping for a "Zombieland" sequel, but due to other commitments for director Ruben Fleischer, it looks like we'll have to wait a little bit longer on that. Still, Eisenberg himself recently said he's "probably excited" for the sequel, so that has to count for something, right?
