Angelina Jolie Talks 'The Tourist,' Pitt vs. Depp With MTV's Guest Correspondent

By Gaby Izarra, winner of MTV's Ultimate "Tourist" Guest Correspondent contest

There I was at the climax of my trip to Paris as MTV's guest correspondent for "The Tourist" press junket... and as with the end of any good movie, I was eager to know what was about to happen. As I waited to interview Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany, I planted myself on a puffy couch in the hospitality suite of Le Meurice Hotel. I had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a chic white blazer, some shiny tights and a pair of funky round-toed gray suede wedges. Everyone there told me not to be nervous, which actually made me a little bit nervous. Journalists were taken in clusters to the interview rooms, and my group finally departed around 3 p.m.

When I walked into the room to interview Angelina, the first thing that struck me is that she's just as dazzling in person as she is on the big screen -- high definition video doesn't lie. I introduced myself and immediately said I was with MTV. It was a solid effort at gaining some credibility. "Of course you are because you look cool!" Angelina said while examining my outfit. Score!

It must be scorching after a while stuck under all the glaring production lights. You would never think it, but in the room with the interviewer and the interviewee, there are actually a number of other people -- the cameramen, public relations reps and even a person who holds up fingers to indicate how many minutes of the interview are left.

Four fingers up, and I began the interview. We talked about "Edward Scissorhands," gelato, Venice, Paris and Brad (and, of course, "The Tourist"). When Angie spoke about her kids, I couldn't help but think of her as a non-movie-star-bake-me-cookies-and-take-me-to-dance-practice mom. I guess there was something about the way she smiled at me that reminded me of my own mom. I'd totally be down to be a kid in the Brangelina household for a day or two. Only one finger left and I had gotten through all my questions with 30 seconds to spare.

I said my thank you and was on my way, ready for my interview with Johnny.
