EXCLUSIVE: 'Avatar' Re-Release Restores 'Every Last Frame' Of The 'Kink,' James Cameron Says

Okay alien sex fiends, just calm down. Your fix is coming. MTV's Josh Horowitz recently chatted with filmmaker James Cameron about the upcoming August 27 re-release of "Avatar." A few days ago I ran through what to expect from the extra nine minutes being incorporated into the movie. There was one that I left out though, one that people seem to be disturbingly interested in: the Na'vi sex scene. Here's Cameron on what to expect.

"You mean the alien kink scene? "It's been restored, every last frame of it. Seriously," he said. "All 20 seconds of it." Sleep safely, extraterrestrial fetishists. Your salvation is coming.

"I would say, just so that we correctly manage people's expectations, it does not change our rating at all," he continued. "I would call it more of an alien foreplay scene. It's not like they're ripping their clothes off and going at it."

Hardcore fans already have some idea of what to expect, thanks to a recent, briefly leaked copy of the script. "The tendrils intertwine with gentle undulations," one line reads. "They come together into a kiss and sink down on the bed of moss, and ripples of light spread out around them."
