'Eclipse' Soundtrack Gets Two More: Beck/Bats For Lashes And Vampire Weekend!

The powers-that-be who preside over "Twilight," "Lost" and the MTV Movie Awards really ought to get together and coordinate better. There's far too much news today.

As the hours slide by, the "Eclipse" soundtrack grows. Two new artists have been revealed since our last post. Three, really, if you want to be a jerk about it. First up is a collaboration between Beck and Bat For Lashes, on "Let's Get Lost." MySpace doesn't say it, but my guess is that this is a cover of the Elliott Smith song from the album "A Basement On The Hill." Beck is a noted fan of Smith's; he participated in a benefit held in the singer/songwriter's honor following his untimely death at the age of 34 in 2003. Also confirmed for the soundtrack is New York City-based indie rock outfit Vampire Weekend, on the song "Jonathan Low." Check out music from all of these artists after the jump.

Also, here's some Elliott Smith. It's not "Let's Get Lost" (I'm not sure there WAS a video for it), but it gives you a feel for the sound...
