If there's one thing the world needs more of, it's movies adapted from board games. That's what DreamWorks thinks anyway. The studio recently acquired the rights to "Monsterpocalypse," one of those collectible miniature games that's become so popular. And the word is that they'd like "Alice in Wonderland" director Tim Burton to be the guy who turns it into a movie. I can't say he's a bad choice; the game has players battling monsters as they run free in a city. I just don't know if another board game movie is really necessary, not with "Battleship," "Monopoly" and "Ouija" all on the way. What do you think? Check out the full story at Deadline.
