'Futurama' Is Back! The First Image From 'Rebirth' Surfaces!

Today is a beautiful day for "Futurama" fans. The series returns on Comedy Central with all-new episodes starting with a double-header on June 24, the first of which is called "Rebirth. The series ran for five seasons, from 1999 to 2003, until Fox kicked it to the curb. It was revived in 2007 with a series of four direct-to-DVD movie releases; their success served as a loud reminder that fans are still out there and still rabid for more Planet Express adventures.

The DTV movies aired in pieces on Comedy Central last year, part of their syndication agreement with Fox. This was just a lead-in though, paving the way for the new episodes that start airing in mere weeks. June 24 brings the first two of 26 ordered new episodes. The reason to celebrate today is Comedy Central's release of the first image from "Rebirth," which you can find in full after the jump!
