'Harry Potter' Star Jason Isaacs Doesn't Get To Keep His Lucius Malfoy Wig!

Soon, very soon now, the ginormously popular series of "Harry Potter" film adaptations will come to an end. The first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is set to hit theaters in November and the second will follow mere months later, capping off the seven book/eight movie franchise in July 2011.

With the end so close, we're now well into production on the final two movies, which are being shot concurrently. As each performer wraps up his or her contributions to these final films, they're faced with saying goodbye to people they've worked with and locations they've lived in for the past 10 years. That's exactly what Lucius Malfoy actor Jason Isaacs faced recently, when he left the set for the last time.

"I personally have finished my bit on 'Potter,'" he said to MTV's Josh Horowitz during the "Green Zone' press junket. "I'm looking for any excuse to go back, pretend I left things in my trailer, that kind of thing."

It's a bittersweet departure. As proud as Isaacs is of the work he's done, it's hard to just let go after such a long time. "It's been nearly 10 years for me. It was very difficult saying goodbye to the entire thing," he said. He's keeping his spirits high though, joking about one of his most personal partings in letting go.

"Mostly saying goodbye to the wig was a very emotional experience," he said, deadpan. "I don't get to keep the wig. I don't know, it might be on a traveling exhibit. I think it's got a very good agent who's got some more work lined up."

Turning serious again, Isaacs described how he's feeling about seeing those final films hit theaters. "I'm [both] dreading and looking forward to when it says 'The End' because it's the end of a decade of an amazing experience for all of us."

Should Isaacs be permitted to keep the wig? What are your thoughts on the series as it winds to a close?
