Happy Labor Day, everyone. Posts in the Twitter-Wood feed certainly didn’t rest for the holiday — particularly those of Kevin Smith, who is currently engaged in a 24-hour tweet-a-thon of questions and answers with his followers. I’ve included a few highlights but highly recommend throwing your own queries at him before he logs off.
In other news, the feed found a new feed this weekend! We proudly welcome the yet-to-become-Verfied account of Danny DeVito, whose profile pic alone has earned him a top slot on the list and Twitter Pic of the Day laurels. You can check it out in the link below alongside Smith’s answers and Labor Day activities involving Peter Facinelli, Russell Brand and Neil Gaiman. I’m @brianwarmoth, and this is a special Labor Day Twitter-Wood report for September 7, 2009.
Twitter Pic of the Day:
Danny DeVito’s new profile picture
Kevin Smith pt 1: @ThatKevinSmithFrom @Zippio “Any chance there will be another Clerks movie??” MAYBE when we’re all in our mid-40’s. CLERKS = 20’s. CLERKS II = 30’s.
-Kevin Smith, Writer/Actor/Director (“Clerks,” “Mallrats”)
Kevin Smith pt 2: @ThatKevinSmithFrom @mojorojo “Archie chose Veronica. Good call?” Typical: she’s from money. He’ll just slum it with Betty behind his rich wife’s back.
Kevin Smith pt 3: @ThatKevinSmith From @ADiSpirito27 “Of the movies you’ve made, what was the most enjoyable for you” As established last week to much chagrin, CLERKS II.
Kevin Smith pt 4: @ThatKevinSmith From @movieman97 “if chris nolan personally asked you to direct TDK back in 2007 would you” I’d have said “Get a donkey and poo in there.”
Kevin Smith pt 5: @ThatKevinSmith From @MarioGnzlz “Any chance of Clerks:Animated Series making a Family Guy style come back?” Ain’t heard nobody clamoring for it so far…
@neilhimself Amazing morning filming in a pub. Bill nighy is, if I have the correct expression, made of awesome.
-Neil Gaiman, Writer (“Stardust,” “Coraline”)
@peterfacinelli Happy Labor Day. At my daughter’s soccer practice. I’m the one in the green hooded jacket in 90 degree weather trying to hide from the sun.
-Peter Facinelli, Actor (“Twilight,” “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”)
@rustyrockets Katy Perry is moving into the hotel room opposite. I’m stealing a room service uniform. A female one, obviously-“cherry chapstick delivery.”
-Russell Brand, Actor (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Get Him to the Greek”)
